Movies, which we can never get enough of. I am always up for some good movie recommendations and I believe so are you. I have been one to watch movies depending on the mood I have so I have made a curated list for all of you to enjoy:

Emotional: Miracle in Cell no. 7

I watched the Korean version of this movie, which is based on a true event where a man gets tortured and forced to plead guilty for the murder of a 9-year-old girl. Though the premise is the same, the movie approaches a different take by adding a fictional theme all around the movie. Overall, it is a tear-jerker so grab your tissue box!

Musical: School of Rock

Jack Black, the one who single-handedly carries all his movies. Despite the name, I watched this movie solely for Black as I have enjoyed his performance over a number of his other movies, Jumanji and Goosebumps being a few. Everything is just the perfect amount, the comedy, story writing, music and few motivational moments.

Need BG noise: Jumanji

I have not paid attention to this movie at all. You would not have missed anything in your life if you did not watch this movie. I remember scrolling through social media while the movie was playing in the background. I remember Nick Jonas appearing on the screen but more than that I have no vivid memory of this movie. 10/10 recommend for BG noise.

Pms-ing: To All the Boys I've Loved Before

This is the perfect movie when you are all in your feels. The romance and overall plot are over the top so you can never expect to have this in your life. Though the couple is cute and give total "couple goals" vibe, it is quite unrelatable to us and all we can do is feel miserable for being single. I have never felt more alone or single than after watching this movie.

Reality check: Parasite

Oh, don't even get me started on this Academy Awards winner. Two words: Go watch!

Confusion: Inception

I swear I am not a dumb person. Even if I was, that is perfectly fine. But god did I not understand the movie. I did get the gist of it: jumping from dreams inside dreams. I have heard people say there is a deeper meaning to it and I'm like what? If I have to watch a YouTube video to understand the movie, then I believe the writers have missed a mark. I kid you not there are tons of videos on it with over a million views. Seriously, how high must a person be to think of this plot? I mean it is unique and creative, don't get me wrong but too much out of my comprehension.

Pure masterpiece: This movie is a mood in itself. No explanation is needed! Charlie Chaplin: City Lights. I literally dare you to fight me if you have any contradicting opinions about this movie. It is a classic, though no dialogues, I watched this silent comedy a few weeks back and still found a lot of the scenes quite humorous.

🤍 Week's Snapshot 🤍

Book: I am currently reading Normal People by Sally Rooney. Although not finished with the book yet, I love how it captures Marianne and Connell's emotions. It gives you the forbidden love vibes and how the whole story plays out is not your run-of-the-mill normal love story. How the story is playing so far, I would not be disappointed even if the story ended poorly.

Movie: The Intern on Netflix starring Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro, shows a 70-year-old widower interning for a workaholic CEO. This movie has a special place in my heart, it is just too good for me. A Bollywood remake is confirmed with Deepika Padukone alongside Amitabh Bachchan, which I am quite keen to see as the original movie has impressed me a lot.

Shows: Gilmore Girls was on my to-watch list for a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed the first season. However, the show does get quite slow over the season but overall it is quite entertaining to watch.
